Tryout expectations

Here are the expectations for the types of players we are looking for to represent Wilson soccer:.

There are three main categories we look for when searching for a Woodrow Wilson soccer player:

Offense - The ability to kick with power and accuracy
- The ability to pass with accuracy

 - On field mentality and intelligence (offensively)

Defense - The ability to play the defensive aspect of a position

 - The ability keep up with the player being defended (on field stamina and overall athletic conditioning)

 - On field mentality and intelligence (defensively)

Attitude - The ability to be a team player

 - Leadership

 - Coach-ability - How do you respond to criticism? How do you better yourself?

Other aspects of the game will looked upon as well, but the above characteristics are a major portion of what we as coaches are looking for in our WW players. Any questions or concerns please contact Mike Angeli (Boys) angelim@mpsct.org

The season...

The individuals chosen are expected to be at all games until they are done. Hoping for a winning season, the team will come to meets ready to compete. Sportsmanship is of the utmost importance and will be displayed at all times - that is what is expected and disciplinary actions will be handed out to the players if proper sportsmanship is not displayed.

A reminder: Rides home from the away game site can only be from parents.
